Drive the UX for the Nick digital portfolio including its websites, mobile apps, over-the-top (OTT) apps, and live event digital companion experiences
Oversee the evaluation and UX/product definition for new platforms (in their exploratory, pre-build phases)
Directly manage the UX team including building departmental presence, knowledge, methodologies, culture, expertise, role definition and effectiveness
Support the agile teams to negotiate quick UX decisions when constrained by time, resources, technology, etc.
Identify and own a set of artifacts that ensure that a small UX department can scale their principles and solutions across a broad portfolio. These may include style guides, pattern libraries, CSS, personas, guiding principles, etc.
Create rapid prototypes and liaise with our Research department to usability test concepts and interaction design patterns
Develop, present and evangelize BIG ideas. Push the boundaries to create better, innovative experiences for our users.
Foster a user-centered culture and understand our users better than anyone else on the floor
5+ years professional experience in interaction design and user experience design, with several of those years in a leadership role
Experience designing for a diversity of screens and devices including web and native apps
Proficient in user-centered design and research methodologies
Strong knowledge of web and app usability, design standards, interface patterns, information architecture, navigation structures, hierarchy and composition
Proficient in creating prototypes, wireframes, storyboards, and specs
Deep experience with and advocate of Agile development methodologies
Self-motivated with excellent presentation and communication skills
Bachelorís degree in relevant design, psychology, or technology field
