Work with the Amplify Insight Consulting group on special projects of great significance to our clients and the education community. The Amplify Insight Consulting team is at the forefront of education innovation, and has been involved with some of the most highly regarded projects in the country. We take new software ideas from concept to launch. We also design and develop new solutions for state departments of education and school districts and help them get more power from their existing systems.

Responsibilities of the Product Consultant:

Serve as product owner (AKA product manager) within their projects
Understand what the client wants and needs from the product:
Gather input of product users (e.g., through observation, feedback, surveys, and demonstrations)
Help clients determine product requirements and develop product roadmaps
Conduct competitive research to inform the product roadmap
Translate client wants and needs into buildable requirements (e.g., user stories, wireframes, acceptance criteria)
Work effectively with peer product owners, architects, designers, and developers to build and deliver a product that meets/exceeds client expectations on time while keeping the client informed and sufficiently involved in the process
Review and approve product functionality that has been built and confirm product quality in advance of upcoming releases
Prioritize and maintain the product backlog
Help ensure profitability of projects and client satisfaction by delivering within the scope
Basic Qualifications of the Product Consultant:

Bachelorís degree required
3+ yearsí experience with software product management (agile product ownership) or client-facing management consulting
Willingness to travel 40-60% during certain periods of the project
Preferred Qualifications of the Product Consultant:

Deep, personal interest in software products and relevant knowledge and skills that enable you to bring credible ideas and technologies to the client
Mental Intellect and Speed: Ability to get up to speed quickly as one project closes, and another starts
Ability to lay out sound work plans
Entrepreneurial risk taking and self-direction
Ability to work autonomously and escalate appropriately
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail
Experience working well with large teams and inspiring and motivating software developers (requires patience, humor, tenacity, optimism and leadership)
Experience managing client expectations
High orientation on client and project needs
Ability to resolve competing trade-offs
Experience with programming is not required.
