The Card Marketing Manager will have broad responsibility for both acquisition and retention in multiple marketing channels. We are looking for a thought leader that can ideate, manage, track, and improve each campaign. The professional we seek must be proactive, a team player, and have a strong focus on bottom-line results. This role will produce written and video content for blogs, social media, and email marketing.
This position will support Spendable, a prepaid debit card product recently launched by Think Finance. Accordingly, you will be part of a start-up team internal within Think Finance with high visibility from senior management and opportunity for rapid advancement as the product grows. Additionally, Spendable’s unique product structure, including its deep integration with social media, will enable fresh and creative marketing approaches. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
•Create ideas and content for marketing campaigns
•Analyze success of campaigns and determine how to optimize campaign performance
•Increase traffic to website by creating buzz via social media channels and other marketing channels
•Convert existing cash load cardholders into direct deposit customers via outbound and inbound marketing
•Increase retention of direct deposit customers via outbound and inbound marketing
•Advocate brand in social media community and engage customers using brand voice
•Ideate blog topics; create engaging blog content that is SEO rich (articles or video)
•Curate content provided by senior managers into blog content
•Manage champion / challenger testing of marketing collateral
•Recommend strategic and tactical changes to maximize marketing mix, including product structure
•Interface with IT, compliance, risk, marketing, and creative resources to implement and optimize campaigns
•Develop metrics and reports to track performance and progress.
•Manage 3rd party vendor relationships for campaign delivery and performance
•Work closely with the other marketing and product teams to build brand
Experience and Education
•Strong knowledge of marketing tactics with 3+ years of experience in online marketing preferred.
•Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance – liberal arts degree is a plus
•Experience working with blogging and other inbound marketing techniques
•Experience in executing email/sms marketing campaigns through 3rd party vendors
•Basic HTML Knowledge
•Congenial teamwork attitude
•Experience with web analytics and tools
•Experience with social media community management
•Experience in debit or credit card marketing highly desirable, but not required
•Experience in early stage, high growth companies is a big plus
