As an early stage, venture-backed startup, Jopwell is looking for a proactive individual who is excited about creating a product & visual brand from the ground up. If you are looking to join a team of hard-working, energetic, and highly motivated people, Jopwell is the place for you. We come to work every day with the mandate of promoting career advancement for Black, Latino/Hispanic, and Native American individuals, and we’re excited to find a designer who wants to join the ride.

Jopwell is seeking a designer to join the Product team. As an early member of the Jopwell squad, you’ll be involved in every aspect of the product design process and will be responsible for working cross-functionally to support UX, UI, and interactive design work. You will play a pivotal role in collaborating on product ideas, testing those ideas against users & teammates, and working closely with the engineers to make sure implementation is seamless. You will also be tasked with supporting marketing needs such as email design, one-pagers, and visual assets to convey our product, brand, and mission.

What you’ll do:
Take broad concepts and turn them into useful products for the Jopwell community
Own the product design cycle: research, wireframe, present, test, and iterate on all product design work
Solicit feedback from teammates and external users to continually drive design decision making
Work closely with the Jopwell management team to contribute to & execute on strategic product vision
Play point for all creative branding & design decisions, starting by creating brand guidelines

Ability to take a project from concept to implementation; end-to-end product design
Experience and interest conducting user research & user tests
Experience and interest in collaborative, iterative design process
Experience working directly with engineers to make sure implementation is efficient
Strong communication skills
Experience working with Sketch, Adobe Acrobat, Invision, and other design & prototyping tools
