The primary goals of the Content & Technology Solutions (CTS) Group are to capture the large revenue opportunities that exist within the data feed market and to help drive adoption of our proprietary content on and off the FactSet platform. Our products fall into four major categories: bulk data delivery (Cornerstone, Bulk DataFeed), ad hoc data delivery (DataDirect), and streaming exchange data (Streaming DataFeed API), and an application development environment (FAST).
The Bulk Data Delivery team of FactSets Content and Technology Solutions Group is looking for a Product Developer to help with the operation, support and enhancement of the Standardized DataFeed product line. As a Product Developer, you will become an expert in the Bulk Data product line and its supporting technologies. You will work closely with a broadly distributed group of salespeople, support specialists, engineers, content managers, and quality assurance personnel. You will receive a cross-section of exposure to our products, support, and development processes with the goal of progressing along the Product Management track.
Develop and support one or more products and content integration projects
Work with the Product Manager to identify client demand for our new initiatives and existing product lines
Develop specifications to translate the business needs into tasks for engineering
Work with engineers to fix bugs, test enhancements, and manage releases and client migrations
Work with QA to build out test cases for new features
Work with our internal communications group to document new releases and update training and marketing materials to communicate application features and benefits
Research and prioritize questions, bugs, and enhancement requests that come through RPDs
Perform operational tasks including initial client setup, Broadcast announcements, and account maintenance
Help specialists and sales with client-specific issues or questions
Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills
FactSet Consulting or equivalent experience, emphasizing one or more of the following areas: investment related data; formula based analytic applications; data warehousing; or content oriented software systems
Software development and data analysis skills
Minimum 2 years work experience
Experience with FactSets proprietary content
Interest in learning new technologies and how multiple systems work together
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members in other offices
Attention to detail along with the ability to see the big picture
Ability to work on multiple projects with shifting priorities
Self disciplined and motivated work ethic
Ability to see projects through from start to finish
