The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. We are currently seeking a Senior Product Manager/Marketing Solutions, for Health Forum (a for-profit subsidiary of the AHA) for our Chicago office.
This position will work as a senior member of the Health Forum Content and Product Management team, responsible for managing the product strategy for the Marketing Solutions product family to ensure success in terms of revenue and timely release of products and capabilities. This role identifies market opportunities, develops business cases, defines requirements and works closely with counterparts and the development team to ensure successful product delivery. The role also collaborates with extended team members in product marketing, sales, editorial, and data services and other functional partners. The position is responsible for partnering with other organizations, representing the department with external parties and other parts of the AHA.
1.Product Management: Assume product ownership for all products in the Marketing Solutions product family, which includes advertising, sponsorship and content marketing products. Manage the product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical execution. Organize and implement product launch plans in collaboration with marketing. Work closely with customers to garner feedback and understand their evolving business needs. Manage product packaging, licensing and IP protection. Develop new product ideas and enhance existing products based on market knowledge and contact with customers/prospects/partners and industry contacts. Work closely with other areas of Health Forum to define, develop and disseminate product messages, value propositions, and position to optimize revenue and maximize market share. Lead the definition of product and technical requirements, using input from various sources including external sources such as market trends, industry innovations and regulations, competitive intelligence and customers, as well as internal source such as sales, marketing and customer support.
2.Strategic Development: Set the long-term strategy for the Marketing Solutions product family, including finding unique ways to monetize the audience of Health Forum's content and insights. Create business plans, road maps and requirements that support broader Health Forum product strategic objectives. Serve as the internal and external product evangelist, working with sales, partners and key customers to develop positioning and increase market success.
3.Technical Development: Ensure a comprehensive suite of digital content marketing, advertising and sponsorship offerings through Health Forum's product platform(s) and website(s). Work closely with internal and external IT partners to develop and enhance products and platforms that meet user expectations. Budgeting, Forecasting and Tracking Performance manage budgeting and forecasting process for the portfolio of products. Create and/or define analytical tools that track product performance. Assess individual product performance and product portfolio performance throughout the year to determine market trends, customer use and adoption, and financial measures.
4.Management/Thought Leader: Mentor additional junior product managers, as appropriate, within the Content and Product Management team, as well as serve as an industry expert across the organization on marketing solutions. Speak, as needed, at conferences and trade shows, and be involved in industry councils and ongoing professional education.
