Reliant is an 8 year old company that is a leader in providing converged infrastructure solutions to the retail and hospitality industry. Our customers are some of the largest and best known global store, restaurant, and hospitality brands. Our solution is built on a cutting edge Linux based virtualization stack that features total management through a devops driven infrastructure. We design, develop, and maintain a software stack that includes a core virtualization solution built on Debian Linux with OpenVZ, LXC, and KVM, with supporting management code built in puppet and Ruby. Our back-end management environment includes Ruby, Rails, and Redis components. The Analyst, Product & Platforms has responsibility for defining functionality and requirements for Reliant’s core products. In addition, the position will support and refine our development processes, make sure we’re using the best tools for our workflow, track project status using metrics and face-to-face communication, and help our development team balance what they’d like to do with what they can actually do. Ultimately, the analyst position will shape how we build and ship the leading converged infrastructure solutions in the retail and hospitality market today.

• Specifying requirements for product functionality and features
• Developing user stories, front-end mock-ups,
• Works closely with UX designer to make sure features will work optimally
• Ensuring that engineering teams and leadership are well-coordinated and on the same page regarding project status
• Helping make dependencies, blockers, and current status visible at all times for all projects and products
• Working with teams to resolve blocked issues
• Refining our development processes to ensure we’re consistently effective and organized
• Maintains technical knowledge and understanding on software development processes, requirements analysis, and project management

Success Metrics
• Development of complete and accurate product requirements
• Effective coordination in the day-to-day management of the software
• Participation in the Development organization’s overall goal of setting and meeting targets for deliverable product

The individual in this position will participate actively in both product management and overall development management. The following skills are experience are required: individual must have:

• At least 4 years of experience with product management and software development
• Knowledge and experience working with agile methodologies
• Understanding of lean
• An extremely detail-oriented work ethic
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Four year college degree, or equivilant
